New ekb* - 'Lucky Breaks'

This colorful veteran DJ has been dropping the funky breaks for well over a decade now and has just released her second mix compilation. Her new album entitled 'Lucky Breaks' is unquestionably accurate to her style of bouncy-funky-broken-beat, all the meanwhile piecing together hints of raga, electro and good old fashion disco funk. The track selection and programing of this set offers a sharp contrast of all the fundamental sub genres and bends its way forward and back again to a solid breakbeat that is clearly present throughout the entire mix. In true form, it absolutely represents all things ekb* and proves again that lyrics still have a place in electronic music. Needless to say, 'Lucky Breaks' reminded us of one of those bobble head characters on the dashboard in your car, except instead of a hula skirt we picture an Old School Adidas Tracksuit and ghetto-blaster cleverly placed. Given the fact that she's a Hawaiian native we might not be far off.

An Ill-legal? Dose of Medicine

Ill-legal?'s passion for the broken-beat dubbed down glitch sound is evident in his new winter sampler, 'Ill Intentions'.  As one of the first DJ/Producers in Arizona to push the Dub sound in the Southwestern United States, he has helped pave the way for new styles and sub genres in the region.  With a list of weekly events under his belt and a number of mixes in his holster, we can expect huge things from Ill-legal?. His turntablism added with some Mid-Tempo Breaks, Hip-Hop and Drum and Bass, all fuse perfectly into one unifying sound. This effective assault on the senses is enough to weaken any immune system. Breaks Inc.

Breaks Inc. are Phoenix Arizona's biggest breakbeat duo as Xpdex & Seven have emerged from the shadows as two of Arizona's biggest breakbeat DJ's, and Producers. Their bass oriented, high energy track selection and clean mixing skills will fill up any dance floor when they throw down together, or individually.

In the past year alone Breaks Inc. has toured several states and have played with some of the biggest names in the breakbeat industry including Dustin Hulton, Dj Icey, Baby Anne, Dj Fixx, Aquasky, and Keith Mackenzie just to name a few.

The production side of Breaks Inc. is now in full swing with an arsenal of over 40 original tunes/remixes being produced in the last 2 years. Their debut release, the "Krystal Blue EP” was released on Krispy Beatz Recordings in November 2007 w/ remixes from Discosynthetique & Miller (Orlando, FL), and Spyke (from Russia).

Pelvis Presley

Currently residing in the States, and goes by the name Pelvis Presley.  This new producer is creating some new dirty glitchy dub step. We couldn't find much information on him but certainly look forward to hearing whats next from this mysterious artist.
