Perhaps most known for his lucha libre guise as Mexicans With Guns, San Antonio's Ernest Gonzales wears many masks. A middle school technology teacher, record label owner, husband, and father of two, Gonzales doesn't buckle under the weight of multiple personae. Rather, EG draws inspiration from his multifaceted background, producing a diverse swath of sounds covering various states of introspection, of which low-end bass only tells a fraction of his story.

Mexicans With Guns

Mexicans with Guns is actually one guy, Ernest Gonzalez hailing from San Antonio, Texas. His music teeters on the borders of experimental dubstep, trip hop and of course latin music. Mexicans With Guns has remixed the likes of Major Lazer, Yppah, and several others, and issued the Nuts and Bongos EP on (Gonzales' own) Exponential Label. While San Antonio may have been part of Mexico at one point in history, we thought this was a perfect match for Cinco de Mayo, so grab the Patron and turn up the bass.
