Holy Other is a producer and DJ of otherworldly sounds, with roots in Berlin, Gothenburg and Manchester. His marriage of ghostly vocals and eerie slow tempered four-on-the-floor beats, creates a unique sound both haunting and seductive. His mystery is both part of the appeal and the fascination, as he plays in a lowly lit room from behind a shroud. Originally pushing the drum n bass sound, Mark Foster, known as MRK1 (formerly Markone or Mark One), has moved more towards the sound of dub. Since his first release on his label 'Contagious', he has appeared in a handful of magazines and produced numerous tracks. He also appears on a number of albums, and has had releases on, Soulja, Hard Livin, Southside, and Contagious Records. He is more commonly known for his work with Virus Syndicate, including MCs Goldfinger and Nika D.
