Again here we go with some more hype on the new Daft Punk album which has been in much speculation and anticipation in recent months, the latest news is pretty much what we all expected. The fourth album from the French duo will be released on the 21st of May via Daft Life Limited (sublabel of Columbia Records) entitled 'Random Access Memories'...
Daft Punk has recently partnered with Coca Cola to release a line of limited edition Coke bottles. After the success of producing the motion score for 'Tron' the intergalactic robot duo Daft Punk, have followed suit in 2011 by releasing and co-sponsoring the "Club Coke" series. The bottles will be released at clubs late March and will be packaged in a collectors box set, made available exclusively through the Paris boutique colette. Katy Perry is causing some debate over the lineup at one of the year's hottest musical festivals. The Pop Singer lashed out on Twitter after discovering that French electronic music duo Daft Punk, who are back in the spotlight for their work on the Tron: Legacy soundtrack, would not be playing the 2011 Coachella Music Festival in Indio, Calif.
Daft Punk’s Tron: Legacy soundtrack is due out December 7th, 2010. Im sure we can expect a great score for this film. Here is a sample of whats to come.
Superstar production duos unite! French house royalty Daft Punk are the producers behind "Hypnotize You", the new single from the Neptunes-derived funk band N.E.R.D.
Below, you can watch N.E.R.D. performing the track earlier this week on the "Late Show With David Letterman", via Billionaire Boys Club (via Discobelle.) A troupe of model-looking chicks help out-- two of them dancing, most of them just sitting there motionless and expressionless. Also, Chad Hugo wears a knit ski mask that may or may not be his version of the iconic Daft Punk robot helmets.
"Hypnotize You" is set to appear on the new N.E.R.D. album Nothing, which is due November 2 on Star Trak/Interscope. That's the crazy album cover up there.
