Bass Blossum comes from ideas growing in the garden of my mind. My track is a breakbeat infused with an Island melody. It has some Dub flavor for your taste buds. Chillin on the beach with a shot of wheat grass.

Eclectic, versatile sounds from Djrum, aka Felix Manuel, and his debut album released by 2nd Drop Records. Connecting the dots between house, broken beat, jungle, minimal techno and electronica, Manuel uses an approach akin to film soundtracks to craft a complex narrative, moving with atmosphere and emotion - dusty, melancholic strings and subtle tweakings in sound that create an elegantly nuanced original work.

After a series of prolific collaborations and extensive touring last year, Steve Nalepa returns to explore the frontiers of bass, broken beats and 4/4 rhythms with Night Bloom - the premiere release on LA's new TeamSupreme label. Night Bloom’s seven tracks explore cinematic dance music from 131-140 bpm while avoiding the entrapment of any one genre. His lush, synth-based instrumental music fuses together elements of ambient, Chicago house, dub and shoegaze.

Thousands of sun-drenched Coachella attendees showed up to kick off the summer festival season, with this year's party in the warm California desert. After resurrecting the dead with Tupac and delivering big names like Prince, Madonna, Dr. Dre, Jay-Z and Daft Punk, the annual Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival had a lot to live up to.
Raggabass Resistance is the groundbreaking 4th album release from critically acclaimed Ragga/Dubstep producer, Dub Gabriel. Three years in the making and spanning multiple continents, he has been on an epic bass-fueled journey that saw him enlist the support of an incredible crew of collaborators - U-Roy, Warrior Queen, The Spaceape (Kode9/Burial), Brother Culture, Jahdan Blakkamoore (Major Lazer/Snoop Lion), Dr. Israel, MC Zulu, Juakali, PJ Higgins (Temple of Sound), David J (Bauhaus/Love & Rockets), Pedro Erazo (Gogol Bordelo), and Mark Pistel (Hercules & Love Affair) - they all come together in an electro-organic stew of future reggae sounds to create Dub Gabriel's most realized and ambitious album to date.

When he released 'Tohu Bohu', French synth-pop producer Erwan Castex threw down an unusual gauntlet: an open invitation to remix standout track 'Bye Bye Madacam' with the winners getting pressed on his adoptive InFinÈ label. The results are stellar stuff: thudding, croaky techno from Juan Atkins, Aquarian's mix of high-hat sprinkled dub techno, and droning radio signals care of PLANkT. While this one didn't quite make the cut, we certainly enjoyed it!
