Jimmy Edgar is yet again hell-bent on luring us all down to his lair of sleaze and excess, where dim lights, soft-furnishings and an air of debauchery cause havoc. ëMajentaí is his fourth album following on from LPs on Warp and !K7 and perhaps his most sordid yet ñ a deep red lick of sultry vocals, deep sliding synths and loose funky percussion. Transcendental futurism for the night-owls.
